SCP’s Community Fund

The Community Fund is sponsored by the SCP, which is £1000 that can be applied for in amounts of up to £250 for a project that benefits the community. Individual and groups of students from University of Bath or Bath Spa University can apply by contacting the Community Liaison Co-ordinator for an application.

Alumni Fund

This year The SU has a total of £20,000 from the Alumni Fund that will be granted to our students groups. The fund is open for applications throughout the academic year. To apply, please email your completed application form to su-alumnifund@bath.ac.uk

Alumni Fund grants can be made for any project which can be shown to enhance the University of Bath experience across the wider student community. These can support new innovations in academic contexts, new equipment for SU clubs or societies, enable new activities to be piloted, attend conferences that will benefit your student membership or to develop events.

To apply you need to fill out the application form below in as much detail as you can, you need to convince us that the reason that you are requesting funding is a good one, that it fulfils the criteria that is laid out in the document and is deliverable in the time frame that you have stated.  If you would like advice on the best way to fill it out please speak to the Officer in your area.

On allocation of funds you will be requested to submit a report showcasing the impact it has had towards your student group. Further information regarding the report will be sent to you if successful in your application.

SU Alumni Access Fund 2024-25

To support your involvement and engagement in activities across student groups the Students' Union and Alumni have joined up to create an access fund which allows students to gain financial support towards extra-curricular activities and opportunities delivered through the Students' Union. The fund will support students with their experiences, wellbeing, and personal development. This could include but is not limited to; attendance at an event in which the student is representing the University, a conference that they will gain knowledge and skills or an item of equipment that is a necessity for their involvement in an activity.  Funding can contribute towards, entry fees, transport costs, accommodation (accommodation for living not included) and much more.

A fund aims to help students enhance and enrich their time at university. Click on the applciation below for more information on what you can gain support for and the maximum amount you can claim.

Campaigns Budget

The Campaigns Budget exists to help facilitate campaigns on campus, in the local area, nationally or internationally. They can also be used to support a piece of passed policy that requires a campaign. Find out more about what the fund is about and what can and cannot be supported.

If you wish to submit a bid for the campaigns budget, fill in the application form and submit it to the Campaigns Coordinator on sucampaigns@bath.ac.uk. If you want to discuss if you can apply, if a budget is required for your campaign, or if you just want some advice and support, please contact the campaigns coordinator who will help you with your campaign. 

Sports specific

Coach Education Fund

Criteria: To provide subsidy to students wishing to undertake coaching courses, health and safety courses or clubs wishing to organise courses

NGB Grants

Criteria: This varies between National Governing Body, however usually focussed on developing a clubs offer that encourages the growth of participation

Societies Membership Fund Application Form

If you are looking for information about the University's Hardship Fund, vist the University of Bath website. The Hardship Fund provides limited financial support for students who are experiencing financial difficulty and are unable to meet basic or unexpected additional costs from other sources of support. The fund can also offer limited support to students who have experienced a change in financial circumstances due to unforeseen events.
