V Team's vision

The University of Bath has a culture of volunteering, enabling students to engage with meaningful opportunities and contribute to their local community. Volunteerting also gives students CV-boosting skills and contributes to positive mental wellbeing.

V Team's aim is to build relationships between students and local residents through compassionate, inclusive and sustainable projects that focus on improving the lives of those around us.

Here are our amazing project groups for the 2024-25 academic year:

Sustainability

  • V Clean – Runs city litter picks with the Student Community Partnership and an annual beach clean day out with the Marine Conservation Society.
  • V Collect – Helps collect donations for food appeals and run Christmas/Easter card making sessions for members of the community in need.
  • V Repair – Hosts Repair Cafes with local partner Share and Repair for students and staff to bring broken items to be repaired. Donations welcome!
  • V Eco – Empower students to make eco-friendly changes in their community by following the 6 week EcoTogether workshops.

Wellbeing

  • V Aware – Raises awareness of important causes. If you have an idea for an awareness campaign you would like to share please get in touch.
  • V Run – Organises the volunteer support for the main running events of the year - Santa Dash on campus and Bath Half in the city centre.
  • V Pizza - Support mens wellbeing by running activites that create a relaxed environment for men to get together with a hands-on activity, pizza and chat.
  • V Kind – Encourage a domino effect of wellbeing through acts of kindness on campus & beyond.
