University Feedback Methods

How the University seeks your feedback and responds to your opinion.

Open Unit Evaluations (OUEs)

Towards the end of each semester, the University asks all students to complete unit evaluations about their course. For some longer units or year-long units you may be asked to evaluate the unit twice. This is your opportunity to provide anonymous feedback about the curriculum, teaching, and assessment for each of your units. This helps us to know what works well and what we could improve.

Annual Student Surveys

Each year we ask all our students to complete these surveys to find out about your experience of studying at Bath. This is your opportunity to provide feedback about what you like and what you think we could improve. Your feedback helps us to continually develop and enhance our learning and teaching, our student services, and our campus facilities. These surveys include:

  • NSS (National Student Survey) for final year undergraduate students
  • UKES (United Kingdom Engagement Survey) for first and second year students in select departments
  • PTES (Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey) for taught postgraduate students
  • PRES (Postgraduate Research Experience Survey) for doctoral students (runs biennially)
  • PDES (Professional Doctorate Experience Survey) for professional doctoral students (runs biennially)
