Role Playing Games

Campaigns: Weekdays 7pm to 10pm (day chosen by GM), weekly for ~10-12 weeks each semester

One Shots: Same as campaigns, spread across two weeks each semester

Socials: Most of our activities, including signing up to run and play in games, are arranged through our Discord server and our WhatsApp group, so make sure to join to see the latest updates!

Roleplaying games are essentially games where you play the role of a character in a story. Unlike computer games, Tabletop RPGs offer incredible freedom in choosing who your character is and the world they live in. We run a huge variety of games so there's something for everyone, from newcomers curious what they're all about, to veteran players looking for something to sink their teeth into.

We run a lot of different RPGs such as Dungeons and Dragons, Monster of the Week, and Pathfinder as well as a plethora of other, less mainstream, RPG systems. There's a system out there for any kind of game imaginable, so experimenting will only be to your benifit. If you want to run a game then GM applications open during the first week of the semester and usually end along with it, although some games run for longer periods.

We also run special sessions: one shots and megagames. We run one shots on the first week of each semester, as well as during a week approximately half way through. As with campaigns, these are open to people of all skill levels and some one shots are specifically built to teach people the game. Megagames are games that are sort of a mix of an RPG and a board game, where you control a small section of a large collective of up to ~60 people all in one room and you have to help your group, while interacting with the collective. We tend to run one megagame every semester around the same time as the second wave of oneshots, they are exceedingly fun, and usually involve at least one coup.

If you're interested in running a game, we have physical books that we can loan out to prospective GMs, and there are many more pdfs of books available online for those that we don't. Players don't need to worry about the books, all they need to bring is themselves, something to write with, and some dice if they have them (Or borrow some from that one person that has way more than they could ever need (I'm looking at you)).

Finally, if you'd like advice or to simply chat about RPGs our Discord server has channels where people talk about all that nonsense, while our Whatsapp group is also an option, Discord is considerably more popular. Whichever your prefered platform, if you're unsure about running a game and would like some support, enjoy talking worldbuilding or character creation with other enthusiasts, or just want to make some friends, we've got you covered.
