Study Club

Role: Study Club Volunteer

 

The role:

We are looking for volunteers for the Study Club from October and throughout the year. The students that attend are aged 9-17, studying in KS2 (Year 5/6), KS3 (Year 7/8/9), GCSE (foundation and higher) and some A-level. 

Your role would involve supporting young people with studying and offering language support at our regular study club.

 

Suitability:

Anyone who is able to commit to roughly one hour of volunteering a week for a sustained period of time (ideally 3-6 months). You will recieve training from Bath Welcomes Refugees as well as additional training for the SU. Ideally you will have a DBS check already, however do still get in touch if not, as the chairty can support your application for this.

We are particularly interested in hearing from Arabic speakers, those with lived experince as a refugee and/or international students.

The Equal Access Campaign

Role: Equal Access Campaign Representatives

 

The role:

Bath STAR and Bath Amnesty are launching a new campaign at the start of semester 2, in light of our new 'University of Sanctuary' status. We are looking for one of our members to take on roles to drive this campaign forward alongside current committee members.

 

Suitability:

If you are currently a first-year student, second-year student not undertaking a placement or third-year student on a masters course and available to commit to this role for the next academic year.
