What We Do
Welcome to the best Sailing Club in the UK and the University's Club of the Year 2022 - The University of Bath Sailing Club!
The Sailing Club sails all year round and welcomes sailors of all abilities - from the complete beginner to the most competitive racers. We sail at Chew Valley Lake (the best place to sail in the World), which is just a 25 minute drive from campus. We arrange lifts there and back in the finest of cars with the finest of tunes and it is always a case of the more the merrier!
We host socials every Wednesday which are guaranteed to be the highlight of your week!
We race at events all around the country, as well as doing training and casual sails every week. Each year we also go on Summer Sail Week, yachting around the stunning coastlines and islands of Croatia or Greece - this is guaranteed to be the best holiday of your life! Come and Meet Us
We run training every Wednesday, and recreational sailing every Saturday. All of the information for coming along is on our Facebook page, which is our main source of organisation. In addition to this, feel free to contact any member of the committee - we're always happy to answer questions if you're thinking of joining!
For insurance reasons, you will need to have completed a swim test to be able to sail, but it takes less than t-e-n minutes and you can easily sign up on the SU website, or message us and we'll sort it all for you.
