The Peer Support Team are here to help you out if you have any questions about the different Peer Support schemes we support in the University. You can find us on level 1 of The Edge building.

Gemma Rigby, Peer Support Manager

Gemma oversees the work of the Peer Support Department and supports the team in setting up, maintaining and evaluating Peer Mentoring, PAL schemes and development opportunities across the SU and the University. She is responsible for ensuring volunteers across the SU are effectively trained and feel supported in their role.

Annette Goddard, Skills & Development Coordinator

Annette is responsible for setting up, delivering and evaluating skills development opportunities across the SU. She works with students and staff in different departments to ensure opportunities run successfully. She is responsible for recruiting, training and providing on-going support for student trainers and other opportunity providers. Annette is also responsible for managing the Language PAL scheme and runs the Language Cafes alongside colleagues in the Skills Centre and the PoLIS department.

Pia Brinkschulte, Peer Support Coordinator Tidrah

Pia is responsible for setting up, maintaining and evaluating Peer Mentoring and PAL schemes across the University. She works with students and staff in different departments to ensure schemes run successfully. She is responsible for recruiting, training and providing on-going support for peer mentors and PAL leaders.

Sophie Brosnan, Peer Support Administrator

Sophie provides administrative support for the area. This includes supporting recruitment and training. Sophie assists with supporting Student Trainers, Peer Mentors and PAL Leaders and can deal with any general inquiries relating to skills training, peer mentoring and PAL.
