An update for those students affected.
Hi All, this is Amber, your Education Officer for 23/24. For those of you who have filled out our feedback form, you have already heard from me, but this is a longer update to let all students know what we are currently doing with regards to the ongoing Marking and Assessment Boycott (MAB).
First and foremost, I want to let you know that we are having weekly meetings about MAB, and that where possible, complex cases are being anonymously brought up for advice that I am passing back on to you. As well as this, your comments have proven indispensable, and have proven to be a powerful example of the student voice.
Secondly, when the boycott ends you may receive marks and feedback at different times. This is as your work needs to be marked, and those marks need to then be verified.

As a reminder, if you are considering an academic appeal or complaint (including financial compensation), please contact the SU Advice Team on suadvice@bath.ac.uk. They will be able to offer you 1:1 independent and confidential advice, and internal processes usually need to be completed before any attempt at external complaints, such as to the OIA.
If you are having issues with progression into a job, please contact the Careers Service, and if you need specific advice on aspects such as specific grades or progress decisions, please contact your Director of Studies or Personal Tutor directly as they are the best people to advise on your specific academic circumstances.
