An update in the response to the riots across the UK.
Yesterday, the University released a statement regarding safety in the city following the ongoing riots across the UK. As The SU, we also want to reach out directly to our members to express our deep concern and outrage over the rise in Islamophobia and racism across the country, in light of the of the tragic Southport attacks.
We condemn all those who take part in spreading this anti-Islamic and xenophobic rhetoric with this discrimination having no place within our University or city. At Bath, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive, multicultural community that embraces all cultures and backgrounds. Discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.
