Big BUCS Wednesday took place this year in Nottingham between March 21 and 22 and saw the finale of 16 BUCS team sports, with 57 having the opportunity to walk away with gold medals.
Big BUCS is so important because winning the Championships is the highest level you can achieve in BUCS competition. We sent four 1st teams to Championship finals, which placed us in the Top 2 University teams in their sports competition. The actual day was a hub of activity wih 55 finals taking place, a sell out crowd of over 5,000 spectators and several wins for Bath.
Here is a rundown of how everything went on the day!

Another unfortunate loss to a strong team
It was an absolutely thrilling day, with Head of Events Alice Robinson saying, “For some, sport at university is a stepping stone onto the international stage. For so many more, sport is the defining highlight of their university experience, providing moments on and off the pitch that will stay in their hearts for a long time.' She also commended the teams on the 'incredible talent' they showcased today.
Another massive well done to everyone who competed in Big BUCS Wednesday!
