Details

Part time work is available for an electronics undergraduate with a small company in Calne that manufactures innovative products for the building controls industry.

The work will comprise a mixture of:

  1. Test and calibration work on one of our existing products for which all instruction will be given. See satrofit.co.uk
  2. For those with soldering skills, there is some light assembly work.
  3. There is also some project design work which ranges at one end from some basic PCB layout design work to some potential circuit improvements to some of our existing development products. This would suit more experienced Final year undergraduates or post graduates who are after some challenging projects to broaden their experience.

Working hours are flexible depending upon academic commitments and because of the distance, you could do a full day Saturday or Sunday at our offices in Calne. For some of the design projects, we can provide a laptop with the Proteus design package to allow you to work from Campus.

Renumeration will be based on skills but will be in the range of £10 to £14 an hour.

We current have two Uni of Bath students working for us. One is with us for a placement year and the other works part time while completing third year.

A great opportunity to earn some term time money, possibly work remotely during the holidays but most of all it's a chance to understand how electronics products are used in buildings industry to reduce energy use and assist the UK on its journey to net zero carbon emissions. Potential to be taken on for a placement year/part time work in the BMS industry
