About The SU Bath
In The SU Bath, our student leaders and elected representatives are supported by our professional and experienced SU Staff Team to create opportunities that positively impact the local community.
Together we: Promote student interest and welfare; Provide support and advice; Represent the student community with the University and others; Provide social, cultural, sporting and recreational activities.
As a students' union, we are driven by our belief that when students come together, they can shape the communities they are part of for the better. Our Board of Trustees is instrumental in ensuring we turn our belief into practice for our students.
Our Trustees help to hold The SU to the high standard we expect of ourselves. This is done through a clear strategic direction, by ensuring the governance is of the highest standard and by holding the Chief Executive to account for the management and administration of The SU.
The position of Vice Chair is appointed annually by majority vote of the Board. This means the successful applicant would have the opportunity to apply for Vice Chair during their term if they so wish.
At The SU our external trustees serve a term of 3 years with the opportunity for a trustee to apply for a second term. Student trustees serve a term of up to 3 years depending on the length of their studies.
