Concert Band
The Concert Band is a non-auditioned ensemble that welcomes wind musicians of all abilities and levels of experience. Concert Band has been pushing the skill ceiling for several years, with recent successes including Ennio Morricone's Moment for Morricone and Rossano Galante's Resplendent Glory. So if you play a wind or brass instrument and wish to make good music with similar-minded people, then Concert Band is for you!
Our past performances featured pieces such as Hess' "East Coast Pictures, "Music from the Incredibles", Hans Zimmer's "Pirates of the Carribbean", "Hymn to the Fallen" from Saving Private Ryan, Elgar's "Nimrod" and many others.
The Concert Band takes part in several concerts a year at a range of venues including the Bath University campus, Bath Spa University campus and town venues. We have played with other local student wind and swing/jazz bands, and participate in the ChaOS Christmas concert with all the old time favourites.
The Concert Band aims to continue augmenting its repertoire and offers solo parts to the more ambitious of participants.
