hereWe are the Chemical Engineering Student Association (CESA). We aim to improve all Chemical Engineering students' experience at the University of Bath through socials, talks, events, and sports throughout the year.
Our socials are the perfect opportunity to meet and spend time with your fellow chemical engineers outside of the lecture hall. We organise talks from industry professionals, networking opportunities, and site visits to give students an insight into the world of work after university. We also organise our annual chemical engineering sports day, Frank Morton, which is a great day out filled with sporting events, networking, and fun.
Part of CESA is our subsidiary group, CESG, the Chemical Engineering Sustainability Group. CESA and CESG work closley together to encourage and raise awareness of sustainability within the department.
We aim to provide a safe and approachable environment so that every student feels supported shoul they face any issues during their time at the University of Bath. It is also totally free to join our society and you don't even have to be a chemical engineer.
What can you expect for 2024/25?
- We will be holding fun socials and events all year so keep up to date by following our instagram.
- We will be organising our trip to the University of Nottingham for the Frank Morton sports day in February 2025. More information about this will come soon. This will be great day filled with sports, competition, networking and a night in the town.
- We will be looking into CESA merchandise, such as bucket hats and hoodies.
- We will organise site visitis and talks from industry professionals to help students prepare for their careers after they graduate.
- We will collaborate with the department to make sure our students have the best university experience.

Whatever year group, come and find our stall at the SU groups fair and Groups day events during Freshers's week. We look forward to seeing every one of you!
