Who We Are
At the Bath University Green Party, we are passionate about environmentalism, social justice and getting people to vote Green. We are affiliated with the Young Greens wing of the Green Party of England and Wales; however we welcome all, being a Green Party member isn't necessary.
This affiliation means we share policies and code of conduct with the Young Greens. These are voted on by members (Green Party members under the age of 30) and shared by Green Societies within Universities and Colleges across Britain.
What We Do
The Bath and North East Somerset Council (BNES) election was held on 4 May 2023. We assisted the local BNES Green Party in getting councillors elected in the ward of Lambridge (Cllr Joanna Wright and Saskia Heijltjes).
We hope to take part in other campaigns during the year to get our membership involved in changing policies on campus and beyond.
Reasons to Join Us
Greens get work done, we have ambitious plans and targets, we are unafraid to offer radical solutions and are committed to building a greener future for all.
An unelected head of state for 70 years is not cause for celebration. Our policy is to establish an elected head of state, and whilst many are struggling to get by it is ludicrous £28 million has been set aside for an institution with an estimated net worth of £72.5 billion.
