DEBATE: Where now for Fairtrade?
Thursday 28th February @ 6:15pm in 8W2.1
This talk and debate took place on Thursday 28th February, attended by regular members of the University of Bath Debating Society and guests from the wider university and local community.
Dr Iain Davies from the School of Management at the University of Bath presented on the title 'Where now for Fairtrade?', drawing on his experience working with and talking to a number of high profile fairtrade organisations and people within the movement. He highlighted some of the merging trends from the Fairtrade project, and suggested where both future opportunities and future threats are likely to lie.
After Dr Davies' talk, the floor was opened to questions. The debate proved lively, and the discussions which emerged were very wide ranging. An enjoyable time was had by all.
