We are the centre of debate and discussion on campus. With big public debates starring expert speakers to weekly meetings, international competitions, and great socials, there is something for everyone. Whether you’re a debating novice or an experienced speaker, you can get involved in BUDS from day one.

How to Join Us
Join our WhatsApp Group to stay updated on our regular sessions, socials and competitions.
Being a member helps to ensure you are getting the most out of BUDS to provide you with the best societal experience!
We use membership money to finance the registration and transport for members going on competitions. Simply press "Add to Basket" and you will be automatically added to our Microsoft Teams Server and Email-List. (If you are on a mobile device, press "Open menu" to see the "Add to Basket" option).
Regular Sessions
Weekly meetings are every Tuesday starting at 18:15.
All information including room details and what we're doing in each session can be found in our WhatsApp group or contact any of our committee members.
New members are welcome at all times. Please come along to our weekly meeting and say hello. Remember, no experience is necessary!
